Recuperating

Black cat with shaved foreleg sleeping.

Neko ended 2018 by having dental surgery. His hair still hasn’t grown back from the shaving for his IV. He is slowly getting back to his old self except for some reason he is scared of Bo Jangles. He had lost so much weight I am impatient for him to gain it all back.

I have to say please keep up with your furbabies dental care. Poor Neko lost ten teeth due to a nasty infection. He may never be able to nibble on his favorite treat(Temptations) again. If you don’t want to brush their teeth, there are toys and snacks designed to help keep their teeth healthy.

Also regular check-ups are good to keep in mind. Let this new year be the start of a beautiful smile for your furbabies. They will be grateful.

Moonstruck

A large full moon in the early evening.

The full moon as it was rising over our sleepy little town. It brightened the night sky, guiding us into the last days of August.

Early morning picture of the last full moon of August.

The moon as it makes its way to bed in the early hours of morning.

My Buddy

A lab mix dog and a black cat taking a nap together.

Magic, the Wonder Dog has been my buddy since I walked in the door. He still is trying to understand the fascination I have with the white tip of his tail. We are the official greeting team. He barks his welcome and warning, and I greet each visitor personally. ~Neko

Great Beginnings

Come back to bed Meowmy, snuggling is the greatest way to start the weekend. I mean, how can you resist a cuddle buddy like me? ~Neko

The Blush On A Rose.

Two early morning pink roses with dew drops on them.

Woke up to the rose bush outside my bedroom full of these beautiful pink roses. I am always cheered by them. Fun part of living in Texas is that they bloom year round.

Life Among The Weeds.

A red rose blossom among dead leaves.

A red rose blossoms in a flower bed that holds only dead plants from the previous year. It proves life will find a way because this rose happens to be wild.

I noticed it fighting to break the soil last summer and thought it would not survive the winter. It just had to prove me wrong. Our roses are in another flower bed and not a red one in the bunch. Still trying to figure out where the red one came from.
