In honor of it being Breast Cancer Awareness month, I decided to go roll in the pink chalk that the kiddos were playing with outside. Humommy wants me to remind you to always remember to do your self-exams at home, as well as get your yearly mammogram. It could save your life. To find out more check out this site. You may have seen the tag #theCatsEyeGang on all my photos of the cats who share their lives with me. What you may not know is that they are the inspiration for the characters in my manuscript I am currently working on.
The Tales of The Cat’s Eye Gang has been a labor of love as I have created characters that not only share each of the cat’s names but some of their characteristics. I decided when I began this story that I wanted to include my readers in the process and began a blog to share the story as I have been writing it.
Each post takes us into what I have written for the past few days, unedited, just as I wrote it. The first draft in all of its glorious calamity. You can find it on my author’s site here on WordPress or at its original home on Blogger. I have added the links below.
I am coming to the final chapters of the manuscript and thought now was the time to share the story of how the Cat’s Eye Gang was born. You can see all of the cat’s names simply by mousing over the photos. Enjoy!
As an observer of life, I find that things are more interesting outside rather than inside. But then you humans do something that makes me look inward again. Oh, well the sun feels good no matter which direction I choose to cast my gaze. ~Neko
Why yes, I am the star of the show. Why watch what’s on TV when you can study my handsome visage. What? I’m blocking your view of a pretty good looking steak. Well, why should I care? You wouldn’t share if you had it. ~Gizmo
